# Licences

Fare is built and run by Rudder LLC. The Fare software is proprietary. It includes or is built
from the third-party material below, each under its own licence.

## Data and tables in the APIs

| Material | Used for | Licence |
|---|---|---|
| [Adobe Glyph List](https://github.com/adobe-type-tools/agl-aglfn), © 2002–2019 Adobe | Mapping glyph names to Unicode when checking PDF text | BSD 3-Clause |
| Encoding tables from [pdf.js](https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js), © 2012 Mozilla Foundation | Standard PDF font encodings | Apache License 2.0 |
| [veraPDF validation profiles](https://github.com/veraPDF/veraPDF-validation-profiles) (PDFUA-1, PDFUA-2, ISO/TS 32005), © veraPDF Consortium | Rule identifiers and descriptions in validation reports | CC BY 4.0 |
| [veraPDF corpus](https://github.com/veraPDF/veraPDF-corpus), © veraPDF Consortium | Testing only; not shipped | CC BY 4.0 |
| [disposable-email-domains](https://github.com/disposable-email-domains/disposable-email-domains) | Refusing throwaway addresses at sign-up | CC0 1.0 |

The veraPDF material is adapted: rule ids and descriptions are reused as published, while the
checks themselves are Fare's own implementation.
